Privacy Policy

Overview

Fraud Guard, a product of Lomi Studio LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your information secure. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When we provide fraud prevention services to merchants, we process visitor information on behalf of those merchants. In those cases, the merchant decides how the data is used, and we act only as their service provider. When we handle merchant account information (such as store details and contact information), we act as the party responsible for that data.

Information We Collect

  • IP address and location information (country, region, or city, based on IP)
  • Device and browser characteristics (for example, type of device or browser used)
  • Our own first-party cookie that helps us recognize repeat visits
  • Timestamps and browsing context (such as when a visit occurred)
  • Merchant account data (such as store name, contact information, and billing information needed to operate the app)

We do not collect payment card numbers, customer names, or other unrelated information.

How We Use Your Information

  • Fraud prevention – identifying and blocking suspicious or automated visitors
  • Reporting – giving merchants insight into attempted fraud on their stores
  • Service improvement – refining our fraud detection methods over time
  • Customer support – assisting merchants when questions or issues arise

Cookie Use

We use one essential, first-party cookie that we create ourselves. This cookie helps us recognize repeat visits to detect and prevent fraud. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not track users across different websites.

Data Retention

  • Fraud prevention data (such as visitor IPs and cookies) is generally kept for up to 12 months, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
  • Merchant account and billing information is retained as long as the account is active and as required by tax or legal obligations.
  • You may request deletion of your information at any time (see “Your Rights” below).

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request corrections or deletions
  • Object to certain types of processing
  • Ask for a copy of your data in a portable format

If you are a customer of a Shopify store using Fraud Guard, you should first contact the merchant directly with requests. We will assist merchants in fulfilling these requests.

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we handle. These include encryption, access controls, and regular reviews of our security practices.

Shopify-Specific Information

  • When you install the app, we access the store data necessary to provide fraud prevention services.
  • If you uninstall the app, we no longer access your store data.
  • We honor Shopify’s data deletion requirements and support requests sent through Shopify’s customer data redaction process.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If there are significant changes, we will provide notice through our website or by contacting affected users directly.
